54th NAPCRG Annual Meeting 2026

Primary-care researchers meet in Toronto to examine how evidence, health services and community participation can improve care. More than 600 research sessions combine oral presentations, posters, workshops and forums. The programme connects clinical questions with qualitative and mixed methods, population data, implementation research and practice-based networks.

Martin Roland (Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge) examines how artificial intelligence changes diagnosis, documentation, treatment and coordination while considering continuity, comprehensive care and the continuing human role of family physicians. Andrew Pinto (University of Toronto and St. Michael’s Hospital) explores upstream prevention through shared values, data science, community leadership and collective action on social, economic and environmental determinants. Other sessions address mental health, chronic illness, inequities, prevention and digital health, alongside research capacity and education.

Pre-conference workshops begin November 20 at 08:00; the opening reception is 17:30–18:30. Scientific plenaries include November 21 and 24 at 08:30–09:30; the conference closes November 24 at 12:45. Registration is open to members and non-members; category eligibility applies. Early rates run through October 20: physicians USD 795/1,145 and other primary-care researchers USD 770/1,120 (member/non-member). Reduced trainee and community rates are listed; pre-conference workshops may cost extra and require registration. There are no one-day or spouse/guest registration options.
