AMIA 2026 Annual Symposium

AMIA’s 2026 Annual Symposium examines how informatics can help health systems learn from data and improve patient outcomes. Its programme connects clinical informatics, translational bioinformatics and clinical research informatics through peer-reviewed papers, panels, workshops and posters. Topics include ambient AI, clinical decision support, real-world evidence, implementation science and governance, with attention to evaluating clinical data and translating research into individual and population care. Participants include clinicians, researchers, computer scientists, health IT specialists and policymakers. Programme leadership includes Victoria Tiase (University of Utah) and Adela Grando (Arizona State University); James Cimino (University of Alabama at Birmingham) presents an informatics year-in-review keynote.

The meeting takes place in person November 7–11, 2026 at Hilton Anatole, 2201 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, TX 75207. All times are Dallas local time, America/Chicago (CST, UTC−06:00 on these dates). Saturday workshops run 08:30–12:00 and 13:00–16:30. Sunday workshops run 08:00–11:30, followed by the opening plenary at 13:30–15:00. Scientific sessions start at 08:00 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; Wednesday’s closing session is 11:15–12:15. Consult the linked official programme for individual sessions.

Public registration is open to members and nonmembers and requires an AMIA account. Full registration includes workshops, with designated affiliate and selected special events excluded. Advance pricing through October 5 is USD 1,595 for nonmembers, USD 1,140 for professional members and USD 685 for student/trainee members; the corresponding standard rates are USD 1,770, USD 1,265 and USD 760. Some affiliate events and roundtables require separate invitations or registration.
