NeuroAlliance 2026
Neuroscience and Cognition conference by Australasian Neuroscience Society and Biological Psychiatry Australia and Australasian Cognitive Neuroscience Society
About
NeuroAlliance brings together cellular and systems neuroscience, biological psychiatry and cognitive neuroscience. The scientific programme examines how brain mechanisms shape cognition, behaviour and psychiatric illness, connecting molecular and cellular approaches with neuroimaging, computational analysis and clinical research.
Plenaries address the microbiome–brain relationship across the lifespan, neural mechanisms of blindsight, negative self-beliefs and mental health, navigation circuits in Drosophila, biometals in brain disease, human decision-making, ovarian hormones and mental health, and computational approaches to brain patterns. Parallel symposia and contributed presentations extend these themes across neural circuits, genetics, omics and therapeutic mechanisms.
All times are Australia/Sydney (AEDT, UTC+11). On 29 November, registration starts at 16:30, Welcome to Country at 17:00, opening remarks at 17:15 and the first plenary at 17:30–18:15. Scientific sessions start at 08:30 on 30 November, 08:45 on 1 December and 08:30 on 2 December; closing remarks finish at 17:00 on 2 December.
