About
A full-day online scientific and clinical meeting examines autism and ADHD in women and girls, drawing together research on presentation, recognition, diagnostic assessment and the consequences of delayed or missed diagnosis.
The programme considers sex ratios and diagnostic age, autistic women’s experiences of assessment, menstrual experiences, adverse experiences before ADHD diagnosis, Black women’s experiences of diagnosis and care, antenatal support for mothers with intellectual disabilities, and the role of childhood adversity and internal distress in adult autism assessments. Researchers and clinicians discuss masking, camouflaging and approaches informed by families and care systems. Organized by the Royal Society of Medicine’s Intellectual Disability Section with the RADiANT network. RSM members attend free; published nonmember fees range from GBP 33 for students to GBP 66 for consultant, GP and SAS doctors. Registration closes at 01:00 UK time on 18 November. Registered delegates receive the access link before the event and access to recordings for 60 days.
