Recognizes an outstanding spinal-cord or brain-injury research publication. The award supports trainees continuing that research, rather than a personal prize payment. Applications are due December 8, 2026, at 5 p.m. Eastern.

Eligibility
Covers: CAD 50,000 for graduate-student or postdoctoral salaries/stipends over up to two years; each supported trainee receives at least 25% of the award.
Research host must be in Canada.
Independent researchers at Canadian institutions; postdocs and adjunct faculty are excluded. Nominees must author eligible peer-reviewed research published or accepted October 1, 2024–September 30, 2026. Self-nomination or nomination by a colleague, mentor or former supervisor is permitted.
