About

Recognise outstanding postdoctoral research in life sciences, chemical sciences, and physical sciences and engineering at eligible institutions in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Selection considers scientific quality, impact, novelty and future promise. Institutions may nominate up to fifteen candidates across the three categories. Nominations close on 2 December 2026 and support letters are due on 16 December; age-exception requests must arrive by 11 November.

Nomination required

Covers: Three laureates each receive USD 30,000 and six finalists each receive USD 10,000 in unrestricted funds. Programme-related ceremony travel to New York is covered.

Host location: United States

Current postdoctoral appointment must be at an eligible institution in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut.

Doctoral-qualified researchers currently holding a postdoctoral position at an eligible institution in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut, born in or after 1985 unless an exception is approved. The institutional president, provost or designated official submits the nomination. Self-nominations are not accepted.
