About

The National Science Centre (NCN) OPUS 32 + LAP/Weave call funds basic research projects led by researchers at any career stage at Polish host institutions, in any discipline including research in the arts. Proposals can cover projects by Polish teams alone, projects using large international research infrastructure, partnerships with foreign teams that secure their own funding, and OPUS LAP projects run with partner teams from Austria, Czechia, Slovenia, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg or Belgium-Flanders under the Weave Lead Agency Procedure, or with Spanish teams funded by AEI, with NCN acting as lead agency. International partnership is optional and gives no preference. Projects last 12, 24, 36 or 48 months (OPUS LAP durations depend on the partner country). The total call budget is PLN 600 million. Proposals are submitted by the Polish host entity through the OSF system by 15 December 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Warsaw time; partner teams submit to their own agencies. Results for OPUS proposals are expected by the end of June 2027 and for OPUS LAP proposals by the end of November 2027.
