Transformative sustainable AI technologies
Description
UK Research and Innovation is funding speculative, high-risk projects that could deliver a step change in the sustainability of future AI systems. Proposals may address energy-efficient algorithms, resource-constrained AI, hardware-software co-design, repairable hardware, and other technology-led advances across the AI stack.
Eligibility
Project leads must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for UKRI funding and meet UKRI individual eligibility rules. Research technical professionals may apply as project lead or co-lead; international researchers may participate only through the specified cooperation agreements or as collaborators.
