MIT’s Center for Theoretical Physics, a Leinweber Institute, seeks postdoctoral fellows starting September 1, 2027. The broad search covers quantum field theory, gravity, strings, cosmology, particle and nuclear theory, strong interactions and quantum information, including connections across these fields. Independent research directions are welcome; close matching to a faculty programme is not required. Candidates must first be nominated by a faculty member or equivalent senior industry researcher by October 9, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
