Postdoctoral Researchers — Category Theoretical Physics (26-1454)
Quantum Physics, Mathematics and Theoretical Physics fixed-term research employment position at RIKEN
About
Join Kantaro Ohmori’s project on lattice construction of quantum phases via higher complete sets. Research connects categorical and algebraic quantum field theory, generalized and non-invertible symmetries, tensor networks and quantum many-body systems. The first selection considers applications arriving by 30 November 2026 (JST); recruitment remains open until filled. 1.A one-year fixed-term employment contract, renewable based on evaluation, up to March 31, 2030.
2.RIKEN may adjust the above maximum period of renewability based on a) the employee’s abilities, workload at the time of contract completion, performance and work attitude and b) the continuation of the employee’s center, laboratory or project and RIKEN’s management situation and budget at the time. In principle, employment contracts will not be renewed for individuals older than 70 years. The total amount of monthly discretionary work allowance and monthly salary at the time of hiring will be 480,000JPY or more.
Recruitment is open until the positions are filled.
