Job Description
CSIRO’s Environment and Sustainability Research Team seeks a chemical engineer in Pullenvale, Brisbane, to develop catalysts for methane-emissions abatement and conduct laboratory and field research on mine dust. The role includes materials preparation and characterization, project leadership, staff supervision and communicating research findings. This is an indefinite, full-time appointment with a stated annual salary of AUD135,000–158,000 plus superannuation. Applications close on 11 October 2026 at 23:59 AEST.
Requirements
- PhD in chemical engineering or a relevant field
- at least five years of productive post-PhD research and strong catalysis and materials expertise. Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or Australian permanent residents.
