Job Description
The NASA Hubble Fellowship Program supports independent research in astronomy, physics and related disciplines at eligible US host institutions. Support includes salary and benefits for up to three years and an allowance for research and travel. Applications for the 2027 class are open until 28 October 2026 at 19:00 EDT (23:00 UTC); reference letters are due on 4 November at 19:00 EST. Awards depend on NASA funding. Applicants must consider the programme’s host-institution limits and current selection guidance.
Requirements
- English-speaking applicants of any nationality with a doctorate in astronomy
- physics or a related discipline awarded on or after 1 January 2023
- or completed before September 2027. Degree requirements must be complete before the fellowship begins. Current or former NHFP Fellows are ineligible
