Open Rank - Assistant / Associate / Full Professor in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park seeks a tenure-track faculty member at open rank to develop an impactful, externally funded research programme, teach and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and contribute to the department and wider community. Research on biomanufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, process design and control, and women's health is of particular interest, especially work applying machine learning, deep learning and AI, but the search is not limited to these areas.

The department has 17 tenure-track faculty, and the school is adding new buildings including a quantum technology centre. Salary range $70,000-$150,000.

Candidates should be able to establish a creative, well-funded, collaborative research programme and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the department; postdoctoral training is valued but not mandatory. Candidates whose BS is outside chemical engineering should address their ability to teach core ChBE undergraduate courses.
