About

A PhD position in the Plant Ecology and Evolution research programme, Department of Ecology and Genetics, Evolutionary Biology Centre, Uppsala University. The project addresses central questions in plant life history and population dynamics: how demographic parameters such as survival and reproduction change with plant ageing, and how environmental factors affect these vital rates and thereby the dynamics and distribution of populations. The aim is to answer basic ecological questions and to understand how environmental change will affect populations and communities.

The main supervisor is Johan Dahlgren. The department offers a climate lab with growth chambers and greenhouses, molecular labs, SciLifeLab sequencing platforms and NAISS supercomputing. Start 1 April 2027 (reference UFV-PA 2026/3293).
