Physical Chemistry Researcher (Niinomi group)

Physical Chemistry, Materials Science and Photochemistry postdoctoral position at Hiroshima University — WPI-SKCM²

Apply by Monday, Nov 30

Higashi-Hiroshima, Japan

About

This postdoctoral role in Hiromasa Niinomi’s group develops research on light–matter interactions and light-induced phase transitions, particularly the chirality and topology of light, or on nonequilibrium behavior at high-pressure water–ice interfaces. Researchers may contribute experience in lasers, optical microscopy, spectroscopy and nanofabrication, or develop these skills while bringing complementary expertise. WPI-SKCM² connects topology and chirality across disciplines to explore fundamental science and sustainability-related technologies.

Appointment is for one year, with possible renewal for up to three years in total. Application materials include a cover letter, CV, publications and three reference letters.

Requirements

Doctorate in mathematics, physical, chemical or biological sciences, engineering, or a related field; research publication record, English communication skills and interest in interdisciplinary work. Relevant experimental skills or a strong motivation to acquire them are expected.
