About
Two two-year postdoctoral positions in the galaxy formation group of Oscar Agertz at the Division of Astrophysics, Department of Physics, Lund University. The fellows will contribute to cosmological zoom-in simulations of galaxy formation, the origin and evolution of the Milky Way, dwarf galaxy formation, and galaxy-scale simulations of the turbulent interstellar medium and star formation, and are encouraged to develop independent projects. The group has substantial allocations at national supercomputing facilities.
Teaching may make up to 20% of working time, and the post includes three weeks of training in higher-education teaching. Flexible start, preferably no later than September 2027 (reference PA2026/3030).
Requirements
PhD (or equivalent) in the subject, completed no more than three years before the employment decision unless special circumstances apply; demonstrated potential in extragalactic astronomy, particularly numerical simulations of galaxies or star formation; very good English.
