Postdoc in the Innate Immunity Research Group: ILC2 regulation of tumour blood vessels in melanoma

Łukasiewicz – PORT Polish Center for Technology Development in Wrocław is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for the NCN OPUS 30 project "Investigating the role of ILC2s in regulating blood vessels in melanoma", led by Dr hab. Marek Wagner in the Innate Immunity Research Group. Group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) are emerging regulators of cancer immunity, and the project asks whether they can regulate the tumour vasculature and thereby influence melanoma progression and antitumour immunity.

Combining cancer biology, immunology, vascular biology and bioinformatics, the team will study how ILC2s communicate with vascular endothelial cells and how these interactions shape tumour blood-vessel organisation and function, aiming to uncover tumour–immune–vascular communication mechanisms and potential biomarkers and therapeutic targets. The postdoc will design and run experiments independently, analyse and integrate experimental and bioinformatic data, write manuscripts and reports, present at institutional, national and international meetings, and work with national and international collaborators.

Prior ILC2 experience is not required. Full-time employment contract with possible extension; applicants submit one combined PDF with a motivation letter, CV and two referees' contact details.

PhD in biological, medical or related sciences; broad research experience in molecular biology, immunology and/or cancer biology; experience in bioinformatics and biological data analysis; documented publication record; ability to design and run experiments independently and critically interpret results; very good written and spoken English. Flow cytometry/cell sorting, molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence or other tissue-analysis experience is an advantage.
