Postdoc Position in SNSF-funded Project “Mapping Mental Health in Municipalities”

The Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute (EBPI) and the Population Research Center at the University of Zurich seek a postdoctoral researcher (60-80%) for the SNSF-funded project "Mapping Mental Health in Municipalities", which compares random sampling and setting-based approaches to generating population mental health data. The postdoc will help develop survey instruments, study materials and data collection procedures; define research questions and the statistical analysis plan and run quantitative analyses; contribute to municipality-based and setting-based approaches and evaluate their implementation; lead manuscripts and present findings; and engage with local stakeholders.

The position starts on 1 February 2027 or by agreement; applications are due by 30 November 2026.

PhD in epidemiology, public health, psychology, sociology, political science, statistics or a related discipline; strong methodological skills, ideally in survey research and quantitative analysis of large population data; peer-reviewed publications; excellent English and good German.
