Postdoctoral Bioinformatician Fellow (Ref. PD/26/20)
Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona)
About
IRB Barcelona seeks a postdoctoral bioinformatician for the Biomedical Genomics Lab (BBGLab) led by Dr. Núria López-Bigas. The postdoc will bring deep experience in handling and analysing biological data and will co-develop, within the international project AURORA, an AI agentic system for human–AI scientific collaboration aimed at uncovering the molecular mechanisms underlying tumorigenesis across different genes and tissues. The position is funded by the Cancer Research UK project “AI-Driven Systematic Discovery of Tumorigenic Mechanisms of Tumor Promoter Mutations” (CGCAI2F-Jul26/100010).
Responsibilities include independently designing, testing and interpreting computational genomics analyses, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and external partners, and taking part in project meetings, data exchange and reporting. IRB Barcelona offers a full-time permanent contract linked to the project’s scientific and technical activities, with salary commensurate with experience, postdoctoral training and career development, and relocation and visa support.
