About

Postdoctoral positions in Cengiz Pehlevan's group at Harvard SEAS, which investigates how intelligence emerges from the collective dynamics of simple processing units in neural networks, the basis of both artificial and natural intelligence. Current projects span deep learning theory and theoretical neuroscience; fellows can contribute to ongoing projects and/or explore new directions. Depending on funding, one position may target candidates interested in the scaling regimes of deep networks. Start dates are flexible; salary range $67,600–$91,826.

Requirements

PhD required, with strong analytical and numerical skills and a background in physics, theoretical neuroscience, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering or a related field; experience in the group's research topics is a plus but not required. Submit a cover letter with earliest possible start date, a short research statement, CV and at least two references; applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
