Physics, Mathematics and Astrophysics postdoctoral appointments (2–5 years) at Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics

About
Join the Astrophysical and Cosmological Relativity department for research on gravitational-wave modelling, numerical relativity, data analysis, compact-object astrophysics and tests of gravity. Appointments at different seniority levels last two to five years, with an anticipated autumn 2027 start. Salary normally follows TVöD Bund E13 where qualification criteria are met. One advertised joint appointment includes two years in Potsdam and two years in Copenhagen. The full-consideration date is 23 November 2026; later applications may be considered until positions are filled.
Requirements
Relevant research expertise and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Submit a cover letter, CV, publication list, a research statement of at most three pages excluding references, and details of three referees through the AEI portal. Reference letters must arrive by the full-consideration date.
