About
Pursue research on terahertz spectroscopy of two-dimensional quantum matter and/or designer quantum materials and devices with Taketo Handa. Projects develop ultrafast measurements, van der Waals heterostructures and nanodevices to study electronic, optical and quantum behaviour. The full-time appointment initially lasts two years, with a start as early as possible after 1 January 2027. The initial application deadline is 30 November 2026; the employer may continue accepting applications afterwards until positions are filled.

Requirements
PhD in physics, chemistry or a related field; relevant research record, English and independent/collaborative working. Experience in nanofabrication, quantum devices, ultrafast/THz spectroscopy or related techniques is desirable.
