About
Lead research on stroke mechanisms and treatment, including experimental work connecting diabetes, GLP-1-related pathways and cerebrovascular disease with clinical or epidemiological studies. The professorship combines scientific leadership, research development and teaching within Karolinska Institutet. This is a permanent, full-time appointment. The extended application period closes on 14 October 2026.
Requirements
Excellent research and teaching qualifications relevant to stroke; documented pedagogical training equivalent to ten weeks, or a commitment to complete it within two years. Swedish language skills are a merit rather than an absolute requirement.
