Quantum Systems Accelerator Project Scientist
Quantum Technology, Materials Science and project scientist position at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
About
Improve superconducting-qubit materials and fabrication at the Molecular Foundry through atomic-layer deposition and etching, interface engineering and structural characterization. Research links processing, composition and interfaces to low-temperature device performance and develops reproducible datasets and fabrication methods. The appointment is a four-year term, renewable up to five years, with expected annual pay of USD 117,300–142,800. At least four days weekly are onsite. The priority-review date is October 1, 2026.
Requirements
Relevant PhD or equivalent experience; cleanroom and superconducting-device fabrication, microscopy/structural interpretation and collaborative research experience.
