About

Support plant molecular research through DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing-library preparation, sequence-data processing and diagnostic-marker development for endangered plants. Duties also include laboratory supplies, maintenance and possible fieldwork. The position is up to 17.5 hours weekly; project funding is expected to run until June 2029. The advertised salary scale is AUD 89,760–105,459 plus 17% superannuation; confirm pro-rata remuneration with the employer. Applications close at 23:55 AEDT on 8 November 2026.

Requirements

Relevant degree or research experience, with demonstrated plant DNA/RNA extraction, PCR and sequencing-library preparation skills.
