Specialist Physician in Medical Genetics (Fachärzt:in für Medizinische Genetik)

Full-time specialist position at the Institute of Medical Genetics, Center for Pathobiochemistry and Genetics, Medical University of Vienna. Duties combine independent research and work on research projects with administrative and evaluation tasks. The institute offers dedicated development of early-career researchers in research and teaching in medical genetics. Molecular genetics, analysis of next-generation sequencing data and clinical-genetic questions are relevant to the post. Fixed-term until 16 November 2027 with an option to extend; minimum gross salary EUR 5,273, 14 times a year.

Completed medical degree with a relevant doctorate; licence to practise independently as a specialist in medical genetics; qualifications in research and teaching and demonstrated scientific activity in the field; very good German (C1). Practical molecular genetics and next-generation sequencing data analysis are advantageous.
