Two postdoc positions in the NCN SONATA BIS 15 grant "Geometry and Topology of Non-Archimedean Manifolds"

The Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences offers up to two postdoctoral positions in the project led by Prof. Piotr Achinger, at the intersection of algebraic geometry and algebraic topology with a focus on non-archimedean geometry. Positions last 24 months from January 2027 (negotiable) at about PLN 9,500 gross per month in Warsaw. Applicants send a CV with publication list, a research statement, a signed data-processing statement and the PhD diploma to pachinger@impan.pl, and two referees send letters directly to the same address.

Selection by a committee chaired by the PI concludes within 30 days of the deadline and may include online interviews.

PhD in mathematics or a related field obtained no earlier than twelve years before the year of employment (NCN leave rules apply); background in algebraic geometry and/or algebraic topology; strong command of rigorous proofs; independent work on theoretical problems; good English.
