Abstract

Xiehang Yu investigates complexity in quantum many-body dynamics using solvable circuits, tensor networks and non-equilibrium field theory. One direction develops mixed-state deep thermalisation, extending ordinary thermalisation to ensembles of conditional mixed states. Another establishes Lieb–Robinson bounds for non-Markovian open many-body systems and determines the digital-simulation resources needed to reproduce their dynamics.
