Topic: five years

Recognises sustained excellence and influence in Canadian natural sciences or engineering, including research, training and mentorship. Research support is up to CAD 1 million over five years. Nominations close 30 November 2026 before 20:00 Eastern Time.

ERC Consolidator Grant 2027 supports scientists consolidating an independent research team in any discipline, including neuroscience, physics, chemistry and machine learning. Up to EUR 2 million over five years, with justified additional funding up to EUR 1 million, or EUR 2 million for eligible PIs relocating from non-associated third countries. Eligible direct costs plus 25% indirect costs. The call opened on 24 September 2026 and closes on 12 January 2027.

CASI provides $560,000 over five years to bridge advanced postdoctoral training and the first years of faculty service for researchers from mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, statistics or engineering applying their expertise to biological questions.
