Extracellular vesicles: from biology to biomedical applications
Cell Biology, Biology and workshop by Rossella Crescitelli, André Görgens, Lorena Martin-Jaular and 1 more
About
This practical course trains PhD students and postdoctoral researchers in preparing and characterising extracellular vesicles from biofluids and tissues. It connects vesicle formation, subtype diversity and in vivo function with isolation, purification and identification methods. Participants compare the strengths and limitations of experimental approaches, including single-vesicle analysis and omics, and learn how to choose methods suited to their biological questions. Theoretical sessions and hands-on work emphasise good practice and reliable interpretation for studies of physiological processes, disease mechanisms and biomedical applications.
