Workshop
Population genomic inference from low-coverage whole-genome sequencing data
About
Understand how genotype uncertainty changes inference from low-coverage whole-genome sequencing. The workshop develops probabilistic workflows using genotype likelihoods and tools such as ANGSD, ngsTools and Atlas. Sessions progress from samples and alignment files to allele frequencies, population structure, admixture, site-frequency spectra, inbreeding and demographic parameters. Exercises then identify natural-selection signals using diversity, differentiation and linkage statistics. Interactive lectures and independent practicals connect each method to its assumptions.
Live online, 26–29 October, 14:00–20:00 Europe/Berlin (CET). Fee €530. Basic population genomics and next-generation sequencing knowledge are expected; participants should prepare in Unix and R. Exercises run on remote Linux servers.
