Workshop
Random Growth Models in One Dimension and Beyond
About
Random growth models form an extensive and active field in mathematics and physics. In the 1+1 dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) universality class, the main scaling limits have been identified thanks to integrable, exactly solvable models with rich algebraic structure, while new techniques for non-exactly-solvable models and models in higher dimensions are emerging, often by importing ideas from across probability. This Simons Center for Geometry and Physics workshop reviews recent developments in random growth models across common themes, with emphasis on the new techniques and ideas behind them. Participation is by application.
