Challenges in Catalysis IX

Royal Society of Chemistry, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1J 0BA, United Kingdom
Organized by SCI Fine Chemicals Group and RSC Applied Catalysis Group
London (GMT+0)

About

This biennial symposium examines how homogeneous, heterogeneous and enzymatic catalysis can meet pharmaceutical and fine-chemical manufacturing needs. Academic and industrial talks compare stereoselective bond formation, lowering catalyst costs, data science combined with high-throughput experimentation for scalable reactions, perfumery synthesis, earth-abundant metal catalysis and greener biocatalysis. Discussion connects new catalytic methods with process development, industrial constraints and sustainability. Programme participants include Sarah Lee (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)); Beatriz Dominguez (Johnson Matthey); Steven Fussell (Asymchem); Lionel Saudan (DSM); Scott Rice (AstraZeneca); Francesca Paradisi (University of Bern).
