NextGenBiocat 2027
Catalysis, Biochemistry and conference
About
The seventh NextGenBiocat symposium brings early-career researchers in biocatalysis together at UCL. Scientific themes include enzyme mechanisms, protein and metabolic engineering, computational tools, light-driven biocatalysis, high-throughput enzyme screening and multi-enzyme cascades.
PhD students, postdocs and early-career principal investigators from academia and industry can present oral contributions and posters. Attendance is limited to 150 to support discussion and collaboration. The standard £210 fee includes breaks, lunches and the social dinner. Abstract submission begins on 3 November 2026; oral abstracts are due 11 March 2027 and posters 30 March, also the standard registration deadline. An optional P3EB satellite on enzymatic plastic-waste valorisation takes place on 30 April at the same venue, with free participation.
