RIKEN's Catalysis and Integrated Research Group is recruiting one postdoctoral researcher to develop radical fluoroalkylation reactions for the KAKENHI project Understanding the Distinct Reactivity of Fluorinated Radical Species and Developing Novel Molecular Transformations. The work combines catalytic reaction development, synthetic organic chemistry and chemical-biology applications. RIKEN seeks a research scientist in Ryuhei Nakamura’s Biofunctional Catalyst Research Team to advance water-electrolysis systems for green-hydrogen production. Research may focus on non-precious-metal oxygen-evolution catalysts, in-situ spectroscopy of reaction and degradation mechanisms, or computational analysis. The project is scheduled through March 2028. The position is based in Wako and requires independent research and collaboration.
