Our inclusivity promise

World Wide is unconditionally committed to a secure, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all stakeholders—regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, nationality, beliefs, socioeconomic status, institutional affiliation, or scientific discipline. Every community member is required to extend that same professional courtesy and respect.

Expected behaviour and community standards

Respectful communication

Use professional courtesy with community members, institutional contributors, and platform visitors. Keep discussion evidence-based and useful.

  • Use inclusive, professional language in all interactions.
  • Listen actively and encourage diverse viewpoints.
  • Offer constructive feedback backed by evidence.
  • Acknowledge and credit contributions transparently.

Scientific integrity

Apply scientific standards throughout submissions, moderation, and review so World Wide records remain credible.

  • Share accurate, verifiable information and cite sources.
  • Disclose limitations and uncertainties when presenting findings.
  • Respect intellectual property and licensing requirements.
  • Raise concerns about potential inaccuracies responsibly.

Collaboration

Work across institutions and disciplines. Help newcomers, mentor peers, and share practical knowledge.

  • Help new contributors navigate the platform and policies.
  • Share resources, datasets, and best practices generously.
  • Seek common ground when disagreements arise.
  • Respect different research methods and disciplinary norms.

Unacceptable behaviour

The behaviours below trigger disciplinary measures that may include suspension or removal from the World Wide platform and associated programmes.

Harassment and discrimination

Any form of harassment, bullying, discrimination, or intimidation based on personal characteristics, identity, or background is strictly prohibited.

Misinformation and deception

Deliberately spreading false information, misrepresenting credentials, or manipulating data undermines the network and is not tolerated.

Platform abuse

Attempting unauthorized access, spamming, or otherwise disrupting platform operations compromises safety for the entire community.

Violations of mission

Activities fundamentally misaligned with global, inclusive scientific collaboration fall outside community standards.

If you experience or witness behaviour that conflicts with this Code, report it immediately:

Email: info@world-wide.org

Subject line: “Code of Conduct Report”

Review: We review reports as promptly as reasonably practicable.

Possible consequences

  • Written warning with acknowledgement of expected conduct.
  • Temporary suspension of platform access or publication privileges.
  • Permanent removal from World Wide platforms and programmes.
  • Legal escalation when behaviour violates statutory requirements.
