Clinical Research

Funding for non-commercial clinical research that can improve clinical practice, diagnosis or treatment. Eligible neuroscience and neurological research must meet the clinical programme requirements. Projects can last up to 48 months and request personnel and other project-specific costs. Applications are accepted year-round through elane; the programme requires relevant prior work and applicable ethics documentation.

Qualified researchers working at or cooperating with a clinic in Austria, with access to the required infrastructure. Projects must be hosted by an Austrian research institution and must not serve a direct commercial interest. Applicants must transfer their main research focus to Austria if it is currently abroad; maintaining a permanent research focus above 50% outside Austria is ineligible. The lead-institution employment requirement is at least five hours weekly for the project duration.
