Support development and validation of biomarkers for neurological and neuromuscular disorders using human samples or data. Projects progress from candidate biomarker development or confirmation to validation for an intended clinical use, with milestones governing the transition between R61 and R33 phases. The combined project may last up to five years; budgets must reflect the work and are not capped by the NOFO.
