Bernoulli instructors teach algebra courses at all levels, notably algebraic geometry, starting at half the teaching load of regular faculty and progressing gradually to the full load, while developing an independent research programme with full research independence. The two-year term can be extended by a further two years and includes a substantial yearly budget for travel and other expenses.

The position starts on 15 August 2027; application files are due by 15 November 2026 (reference 2511).

Requirements

PhD in mathematics by the starting date; ability to teach in French, English or both; cover letter, CV, publication list, research plan, teaching record with evaluations and three recommendation letters.
