Postdoctoral position in Mathematics

The Institute of Mathematics at EPFL offers a postdoctoral position in symplectic geometry, dynamics or related areas, working with Oliver Edtmair. The postdoc will conduct independent and collaborative research, take part in the scientific life of the group and institute, and assist with teaching and student supervision. The two-year appointment can be extended subject to funding, is paid on the EPFL postdoctoral salary scale and includes conference travel support.

The expected start is 15 August 2027. Applications received by 1 December 2026 receive full consideration, and later applications may be considered until the position is filled.

PhD in mathematics by the starting date; strong research record and potential in symplectic geometry, dynamics or related areas; excellent written and spoken English; CV, research statement, teaching statement and three letters.
