About
Postdoctoral Flatiron Research Fellowship bridging the Biophysical Modeling group led by Michael Shelley and the Genomics group led by Olga Troyanskaya in the Center for Computational Biology. The joint project builds hybrid models that combine deep learning for genome interpretation with mechanistic biophysical representations of genome structure, dynamics and regulation, with a key focus on predicting how genetic variation alters the biophysical properties of neurons and downstream phenotypes relevant to autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.
Salary is $95,000 and the start is no later than September 2027. Applications by November 30, 2026 are recommended for full consideration, with rolling review until filled.
Requirements
PhD in applied mathematics, statistics, computational biology, biophysics, computer science, engineering, mathematical physics or a related discipline; demonstrated mathematical modelling, scientific computation and data analysis. Application: cover letter, CV, research statement (up to three pages) and two letters of recommendation.
