About

The Artificial Intelligence Group at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory is recruiting a postdoctoral scholar to research advanced command and control for single and multi-asset systems, at the intersection of artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems and autonomous task execution on deployed platforms. The work involves AI-based constraint propagation, heuristic search and operations-research methods, multi-agent approaches such as distributed constraint optimisation, centralised and distributed task-execution systems, and deployment of command-and-control algorithms to edge and embedded platforms.

Research is carried out with a JPL advisor and published in the open literature. The typical full-time annual hiring range is $83,820.

Requirements

PhD in computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics, operations research, computer engineering or a closely related field; expertise in constraint propagation, heuristic search, OR methods or multi-agent methods; hands-on experience with task-execution systems and deploying algorithms to embedded platforms; peer-reviewed publication record.
