About

A two-year postdoc in the EPIC project (Electronic-Photonic Integration for Energy-Efficient Information Processors), funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark. The team builds thin-film lithium niobate photonic circuits with custom electronic control chips flip-chip bonded onto them. The postdoc designs the CMOS electronics that drive, stabilise and modulate the photonic devices. Cavity-based electro-optic modulators in lithium niobate are compact and energy-efficient, but their resonances shift with temperature and fabrication variation, so EPIC builds sensing and feedback control into the electronics to enable stable, large-scale photonic circuits.

Requirements

A PhD (or equivalent) with experience in CMOS integrated circuit design.
