Postdoc In magneto-photonic integration for ultrafast memory and computing

This postdoc develops and demonstrates a magneto-photonic integrated technology that writes and reads magnetic memory with light, combining photonic integrated circuits with magnetic nanomaterials for on-chip optical memory, logic and magneto-optical readout; an 8-bit memory demonstrator chip is envisioned. The work involves design, cleanroom fabrication and characterisation in the Photonic Integration Group (Prof. Martijn Heck and Yuqing Jiao) with the Physics of Nanostructures group (Prof. Bert Koopmans) at Eindhoven University of Technology, within the NL-ECO Netherlands Initiative for Energy-Efficient Computing.

PhD in physics, electrical engineering, materials science or similar; strong background in photonics, (nano-)magnetism and/or semiconductor devices, with experience in device design, cleanroom fabrication and characterisation.
