Postdoc position in quantum matter theory with specialization in unconventional superconductivity

A postdoctoral position in the Quantum Matter Theory research programme of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Uppsala University, in the group of Annica Black-Schaffer (about 15 PhD students and postdocs). The group studies quantum condensed matter in which quantum effects govern material properties, including unconventional superconductivity, topological matter, non-equilibrium phenomena in nanosystems, strongly correlated systems and quantum information.

The postdoc will work on problems combining unconventional superconductivity and quantum geometry using both numerical simulations and analytical theory, independently and with group members and external collaborators (reference UFV-PA 2026/3056).

PhD in physics or a closely related subject obtained by the start of employment and no more than three years before the application deadline (leave periods can be deducted); strong research background in the theory of unconventional superconductivity and quantum geometry in condensed matter; fluent written and spoken English.
