Postdoctoral position in lattice simulations of cosmic inflation with gauge fields
Cosmology, Physical Cosmology and postdoctoral position at Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics
Apply by Tuesday, Dec 8
About
This four-year NewPhysCMB appointment develops lattice simulations of scalar and gauge fields during inflation. Research includes nonlinear primordial density fluctuations, extension to non-Abelian gauge fields, chiral gravitational waves and simulated CMB and large-scale structure observables. The researcher will work with Eiichiro Komatsu and Drew Jamieson. The nominal start is 1 September 2027, with earlier starts possible.
Requirements
PhD completed within six years and strong computational experience in early-universe cosmology, field theory or high-performance lattice simulation. Submit a CV, publications, research statement and three referee contacts.
