Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuroscience

The El Manira laboratory in the Department of Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet studies how the diversity of neurons and circuits in the central nervous system produces flexible motor behaviour. The lab links neuronal and circuit function to behaviour using electrophysiology, optogenetics, imaging and molecular biology. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute molecular, physiological, anatomical and behavioural analyses within this programme, working independently and with other lab members.

The post is a full-time temporary appointment based in Solna, with salary set individually under KI collective agreements (reference STÖD 2-4469/2026).

PhD in neuroscience or a related field (or an equivalent foreign degree) by the employment decision; a doctorate completed within the last three years is an advantage. Documented experience in molecular, physiological, anatomical and behavioural analysis.
