About

Postdoctoral scholarship in Prof. Jens Hjerling-Leffler's lab in the Division of Molecular Neurobiology, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics. The lab studies how cell type-specific adolescent development of the nervous system influences the aetiology of psychiatric disorders, combining postmortem samples, mouse models of genetic risk, transcriptomics and large-scale human genetics of schizophrenia. The postdoc leads projects on synaptic pruning and connections during adolescence using virus-based neural circuit mapping with molecular and pharmacological tools, works with computational researchers and leads collaborations in international consortia. The tax-free scholarship is set for twelve months at a time and paid every six months. Applications close on 12 November 2026 (reference STÖD 2-4357/2026).
