Postdoctoral Researcher — Thermal Conductivity Measurements and Analysis
Materials Science, Thermal Engineering and Materials Physics postdoctoral researcher (one-year contract) position at National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS)
About
Develop thermal-conductivity measurement and analysis methods in the Thermal Energy Materials Group at NIMS’s Research Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics. The group has custom thermoreflectance apparatus, making experience with that method particularly useful. The workplace is Tsukuba, Japan. The initial term is one year, with renewal governed by performance, project progress and budget, up to an institutional maximum of five years. The employer requests a CV, research achievements, a short research summary and two referee contacts through the application instructions on the advert.
Topics
- thermoreflectance
Requirements
PhD or expected PhD in materials science or physics. Strong skills in developing thermal-conductivity measurement and analysis methods; thermoreflectance experience is especially beneficial.
