Postdoctoral University Assistant Educational Psychology

Postdoctoral university assistant position in the Department of Psychology at the University of Salzburg. The postholder conducts independent research and teaching in educational psychology, with links to the didactics of psychology, teaching and learning research and the psychology of education. Teaching runs in the psychology degree and the teacher-training programme in Psychology and Philosophy, especially subject-specific didactics, initially four contact hours per week per semester.

The role includes securing competitive external research funding. Open-science practice, quantitative skills and AI-supported teaching, learning and assessment formats are named as desirable. Full-time from March 2027, initially limited to five years, with possible permanent employment after a positive evaluation; minimum annual gross salary EUR 70,200.20.

Doctorate specialising in the didactics of psychology, educational psychology, teaching and learning research or a related field; independent research and peer-reviewed publications at the interface of psychology and education; theory-driven research expertise; experience securing external funding; relevant teaching experience; very good English and sufficient German, or willingness to acquire it.
